Shipping Insurance
Please be aware that KENT is not responsible for any damage or loss of uninsured shipments or undervalued packages.
We pack strictly the packages to avoid damages and ship the packages, however there are rarely cases that packages have damages during transportation.
If you find any damages with packages that it's obviously due to accidents during transportation, please unpack them on the spot andshow it to the delivery driver.
Or if you already received the packages, please contact to the postal staff or FedEx staff who delivered.
The insurance can be dealt only by requesting directly from the customer to the post office or FedEx.
For EMS and FedEx other than SMALL PACKET,we insure packages against damage or loss during delivery, however this is basic insurance included in the shipping fee and there is a limit to the amount of compensation.
If you want to cover your package in full, you will need to take out additional insurance.
Please write it in the comment section of the order form when you place your order.
Additional shipping insurance fees will be included in your invoice.
Insurance coverage and the amount you can charge depend on your country, order and delivery method.
Scope, conditions, and limitations are subject to change.

SMALL PACKET
There is no insurance available for for SMALL PACKET shipping method, however you can get compensation up to 6,000JPY by paying an additional 460JPY.
EMS
Insurance is provided for EMS shipping method for orders up to the value of 20,000JPY with no extra fee, with additional coverage available based on the item's declared value.
It is possible to upgrade the claim amount of by paying 50JPY for each 20,000JPY, The upper limit on the compensation to be paid is 2,000,000JPY.
However, you cannot receive compensation that exceeds the amount written on the invoice(declared value).
FedEx
The maximum amount of compensation included in the basic shipping fee is 20USD per 1kg or 100USD, whichever is greater.
There is no additional charge for up to 100 USD in damages, and you can increase the maximum amount by paying an additional 170JPY every 12500JPY after that.
However, you cannot receive compensation that exceeds the amount written on the invoice(declared value).
FedEx Pak: If you have additional insurance, the maximum compensation payable is 100USD (or local currency equivalent).
FedEx Internet Connect Plus (FICP): If you have additional insurance, the maximum compensation payable is 50,000USD (or local currency equivalent).
However, you cannot receive compensation that exceeds the amount written on the invoice(declared value).
The maximum price of the contents per 1 package is 200,000JPY.
If you wish to insure a package worth more than 200,000JPY, please note that each 200,000JPY will be packed separately and shipping, handling, and insurance fees will be charged for each package. |
